Lost my Temper! November 30, 2008
Posted by grincuddle in : seaman's wife , trackbackJust tonight, i received a text message from my husband that he already started to work and got his first salary to the vessel where he worked for a one week already. Yup, that is still a short time but I still valued each day we lived despite of our distances. As he said to the text message that he bought a Sim there for him to call us. Yes, he called! about 30 minutes? then I gave it to his father for them to talk also, then to his mother, cousin and other relatives…but for both of us, we only spend talking i think for only less than 15 minutes, but when we arrived at home from his uncle’s wake I sent him a message that we arrived safely and kindly call us just for a second or minute, yep, i’m begging him to call us due to my daughter’s demand. But he just replied, (1) He assist in a crane work - Whatever! (2) He took a nap because he felt tired, Whatever! (3) His crew mate is in his cabin and enjoyed talking! Whatever Again!, I lost my temper because as he said he is very free today since it’s Sunday and the vessel is set for anchorage! I only demand for a single minute call, and a fact that its his rest day today and tomorrow will be again another day to work, Busy?? I don’t think so! Again and again and again….i started to doubt! He really loves to live away from us! He really loves his life away from us! He used to live away from us! and i hate to think that over and over again!
And since i don’t have enough load to call him, I subscribed an account to Skype through my Paypal account which cost 10$ just for us to call him! because it’s already late at night for me to find a store and buy a load for my mobile phone. Really, Skype helps me a lot! ahihi..It works fine and the signal is good also but our conversation of course is opposite from that signal! From the very first time of our relationship, I am always open to him with regards to my attitude but there are some quite things that needs to just kept on myself…and I believe also that he do the same way as what I have done. That is the disadvantage of having a long distance relationship. My advice to those girls who has relationship with a seaman…just please think it million times before accepting their proposal. My good advice is to say “No”, if you want to have a happy life!
